HELLO, MY NAME IS: Vriti Kalia

I joined the film crew of the TEDx event because I was interested in learning more about filming and contributing to make the event successful. Under the wing of an older student, I ended up editing the talks after the event which gave me the experience of a lifetime. The thought of editing in an editing studio was very exciting to me. Scala Productiehuis helped me throughout my project and to understand the bigger picture and to look at filming and editing as a story. While editing the talks I began to recognize the subtle features that I often missed when looking at videos from the perspective of the audience. To continue to notice and try to weave in those perfect cuts and smooth transitions in different stories is what I have taken away from my experience.
